Dell Inspires Consumers with the Inspiron Mini 9


Dell Canada has officially launched the new Inspiron Mini 9, Dell’s own version of the miniature notebooks that are growing in popularity.
With a starting weight of 2.28 pounds, Dells Inspiron Mini 9 is equipped with a sealed keyboard and a solid state drive (SSD) of up to 16 GB for data storage. For additional memory, the Inspiron Mini 9 has a remote storage space of 2 GB which is expandable to 25 GB. The device also has 1 GB of DDR2 RAM.An 8.9-inch LED display (at 1024 x 600) presents most web pages with no left-right scrolling and the keypads are large which should make it easy to navigate.
The standard built-in Wi-Fi gives quick and easy wireless internet access to hotspots in the home, campus or during conferences.
Both Dell and Box.net partnered up so they can offer their consumers the additional web-based file storage along with safely and securing uploaded files such as photos, videos, music, documents and presentations.
Along with the built-in Bluetooth, the Inspiron Mini 9 can be further customized by adding on a built-in webcam, recording and sending video e-mails, or even making PC-to-PC phone calls from anywhere around the world.
The Inspiron Mini loaded with Windows XP Home is now available starting at $399. For those looking for a different layout, custom Mini 9s are can be built according to the customer’s specifications.
